I recently read a statistic that says that 53 percent of women say their stress levels are higher than they were a year ago, and almost half feel burned out. Also, only 30% of Americans set aside time for self-care (only about 1 in 3 persons). What's happening with the other 2 out of 3? They may feel as if there’s no time for self-care, that self-care is selfish and that other things take precedence over it. The reality is: we can make time for self-care, self-care is NOT selfish, and if we take care of ourselves consistently, we are better able to handle other important parts of our lives (like family and career for example).
